Samsung is planning to refresh its budget segment with a new Galaxy M31s smartphone this month or soon. Earlier this year in February Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M31 with a massive 6000 mAh battery and with decent specs. Galaxy M31 is a good smartphone with decent performance in the budget. Leaked specs of the new Galaxy M31s is not too different from its predecessor but may come with increased price.
What’s New in Galaxy M31s – Rumors indicating that Samsung will provide the improved camera with the same quad camera setup. No change in the battery capacity but charging power may increase to 25W. And an “O” cutout for the selfie camera in the display. No major changes in the other hardware specification. Galaxy M31s expected price is around ₹20,000. For some reason, Samsung has bumped up the price of other smartphones also in this segment. Currently, Galaxy M31 6GB/64GB variant priced at ₹16,499
All other specifications will almost unchanged from its predecessor. Likely to come powered by Exynos 9611 SoC, super AMOLED display, Massive 6000 mAh battery, and etc. The quad-camera setup will be in the rear with a 64MP primary sensor. We can see the camera picture and video quality improved in the Galaxy M31s compare to M31. There are also rumors of very different number series smartphone in M-Series like “Galaxy M51”.
Samsung has focused on M-Series smartphones and has more potential in this segment. Amid India China tensions, Samsung could take advantage here from that large market share of Chinese smartphones. According to leaks details, no significant changes Samsung is bringing in new Galaxy M31s but we have to wait for the official release.
